AACP Council

About

The Advising Community of Practice (AACP) Council is a centrally-supported council for all academic advisors at ÂÜÀòÉç-Dearborn. This campus-wide advising organization will serve as the hub for networking, training, professional development, policy updates, campus partner communication, and leadership development. 

AACP Council Charge

  • Develop and update the Academic Advising Mission
  • Development of an organizational chart for each office that is internally utilized and shared with other units
  • Recommendations on required training
  • Development of learning outcomes (partnership with Assessment Coordinator)
  • Identifying professional development opportunities (with support from HR as appropriate)
  • Onboarding guide/process (partnership with HR)
  • Create a listserv to share out updates directly to all advisors
  • Create a strategic communication plan so that updates to advisors are timely, intentional, and relevant
