The Investment Fund Management course helped me achieve my dream of working on Wall Street. Using the Bloomberg Terminal to research stocks and business sectors, and learning how to present that analysis in class, helped me land my first internship at UBS. These experiences, and the professors who guided me, helped me get to where I am today.

I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of the iLabs program. It had a huge impact on my job search after graduation — I often used my iLabs work to demonstrate my ability to manage surveys and research projects, as well as present findings to decision-makers. At the end of the day, iLabs provided real-world experience that made a real-world impact.

Transformative Scholarship Support

At the College of Business, scholarships extend beyond financial assistance. They act as gateways to opportunity and success, attracting bright minds and empowering students to pursue their dreams. Scholarships make education accessible, reduce student debt and open doors to endless possibilities.

Consider these statistics for COB students in 2024:

  • Nearly 44% of our business students qualify for Pell grants, highlighting the urgent need for financial support
  • Nearly 49% of undergraduate students are first-generation college students

These figures emphasize the transformative power of education and the necessity for financial support. Scholarships play a vital role in breaking down barriers and promoting an inclusive learning environment.

One of our primary funding priorities is the COB FlexAid Scholarship, which addresses unforeseen financial hardships that may disrupt a student’s academic journey. It provides assistance when a student’s financial situation unexpectedly changes, enabling them to continue their education without interruption.

Additionally, the Richard E. Czarnecki Endowed Scholarship is a lasting tribute to Professor Czarnecki’s legacy. This esteemed scholarship cultivates the next generation of finance and accounting professionals, instilling in them the values of excellence and dedication that Professor Czarnecki exemplified. Through this scholarship, his influence on the field continues to resonate, empowering students to excel and lead with integrity.

Scholarships are investments in the future, empowering students to realize their full potential and make significant contributions to society. Your support creates opportunities and inspires the leaders of tomorrow. Students receive the necessary support at the College of Business to achieve their dreams and build a brighter future.
