Natalia Czap and Hans Czap’s article, “Smiley or Frowney: The effect of emotions and framing in the downstream water pollution game,” appeared in the International Journal of Economics and Finance. Natalia (assistant professor of economics) and Hans (lecturer of decision science) worked with professors from University of Nebraska to examine the effect of empathy and self-interest framing in the context of environmental protection and to examine the effect of sending emotional feedback regarding downstream water pollution on upstream farmers’ behavior.
