In the spirit of Mother Teresa, an Albanian icon of compassion and humanitarianism, the 235 student volunteers spent their Saturday volunteering at various sites in metropolitan Detroit including Gleaners Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Stanford House, Arts and Scraps, Focus Hope, Forgotten Harvest, The Southfield Parks and Garden Emanuel Community Farm, Matrix Human Services, Michigan Clean Water Act, Bed and Truck Feeding Program and the American Indian Health and Human Services.
