Enhance your experience by living near campus

Want to live near campus? While the University of Michigan-Dearborn does not offer university-owned housing, there are numerous privately owned options available to suit various lifestyles and preferences. Our campus shuttle service conveniently stops at a few apartment complexes, making your commute easy and efficient. Alternatively, experience the charm of Dearborn's welcoming and secure neighborhoods, all just a short walk, bike ride or drive from campus. We suggest visiting campus to get familiar with the area.

As long as you鈥檙e not living at home, you can even use financial aid to cover the cost of housing. After subtracting tuition and fees from your scholarships, grants and accepted loans, any remaining funds are eligible to pay the rent.

Transportation

A university shuttle service is available and services a limited number of apartment complex near campus. Additional non-university options, such as ride shares, rentals and public transportation are available in the area.
