Grades and Grading
Final grade submission for a term begins on the first day of final exams. Instructors are asked to submit final grades within 48 hours of the final exam or no later than the posted deadline date.

Grading rosters for faculty will be made available on the study day of each term.
Although the ability to view your grade(s) is available on the dates below, you will not be able to access your 'final grade' page until, at least, one grade has been posted to your student record for the term. If grades are not available for you in a specific term, that term will be unavailable for selection.
When instructors submit their grades, they are posted to student records (on business days) at approximately 3:00 p.m. Instructors are asked to submit final grades within 48 hours of the final exam or no later than the posted deadline date.
Grading rosters for faculty will be made available on the first day of exams of each term.
Grades may be retrieved beginning on the dates listed below via Web.

- Click on "View Grades" in the left-hand menu
The deadlines for completion of I (Incomplete) and X (Missed Final Exam) marks will be established by the academic unit to which the course belongs, not the academic unit to which the student belongs.
Both the I and the X remain permanently on the transcript.
If coursework is not complete by the respective deadlines an E is added automatically and counts as a failing grade in the GPA.

Grades associated with transfer credit from other schools or colleges (including other University of Michigan campuses) are neither recorded nor used in computing grade point averages of students.

Graduate Grading System
The Graduate Grading System at -Dearborn changed from a 9 point system to a 4 point system beginning with the Summer 2014 semester. All students who are admitted, enrolled or active for the Summer 2014 term forward, are being moved to the 4 point scale.
Please note that this 4 point grading system is only valid for students admitted, enrolled, or graduated beginning with the Summer 2014 semester (May 1, 2014) forward. All students enrolled, admitted, or graduated prior to this term/date should refer to the 9 point grading system below.

When courses are repeated at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, the grades for all attempts remain on the transcript and the final grade assigned the last time the student enrolled in the course will be used in computing the student’s cumulative grade point average and credits earned toward degree.
