To be eligible for employment as a KNACK tutor, you must meet the minimum requirements below:

• Have completed at least one semester at the University of Michigan-Dearborn
• Be a currently enrolled student at the University of Michigan-Dearborn
• Have earned at least a "B+" in the courses you would like to tutor (The application requires an unofficial University of Michigan-Dearborn transcript. Students may obtain an unofficial transcript at any time via the Student Information System.)
• To be a tutor, you must be authorized to work in the United States. Learn more about
• Tutors are able to complete up to 15 hours of tutoring per week (Peer Tutor Compensation: $15.00 per hour) . Learn more about
• Tutors are independent contractors. Tutors that earn more than $600/year will received a 1099 tax form as required by the IRS. Learn what’s required as a
• Completion of training courses to become a tutor. These are online courses completed on Knack. You'll be paid your hourly rate to do this training.
