The marketing team in External Relations provides a wide range of strategic marketing support to the campus community.

Brand Standards and Logos

The University of Michigan’s brand identity is one of our most valuable assets. It is recognized worldwide and immediately connects us with the hearts and minds of our audiences. It is essential that campus partners follow the standards and guidelines outlined in our Brand Tool Kit to maintain our brand.

Additionally, the university underwent a research effort to help with our messaging strategy. This research helped imagine ÂÜÀòÉç-Dearborn as a person, and developed the first-ever personas. These personas, outlined in the Brand Tool Kit, should be used in any communication promoting the university.

Campus Email

The marketing team manages multiple email marketing platforms for the university, as well as email policies. Learn more about email platforms available depending on the audience you are trying to reach.

Advertising

All university paid advertising efforts are managed by our marketing team. Advertising is focused on awareness of ÂÜÀòÉç-Dearborn in the Metro Detroit area and recruitment efforts.

Graphic design support is available to campus. Please and let us know what your needs are.

Photography and Video Needs

A collection of university images, available to campus, is provided and maintained by External Relations. The university has a part-time staff photographer who is available to assist with some photography needs on campus. We can also recommend freelance photographers/videographers as needed.
